Exactly! Let me give you an idea how much wildland firefighting sucks. Imagine someone throwing knees into your back while choking on dust in the middle of 90 degree plus weather wearing a parka with 5 pound weights strapped to your ankles, and carrying 60+ pounds of gear for 18 hours a day for 21 days. Oh and did I forget to mention the poison ivy, hornets, widow makers falling near you oh and FIRE? Yes I am a pavement princess and proud of it!
Much respect to the wildland guys for doing a job that I can't.
