Are you $hittin me? More DH oriented? I'd say maybe 2 out of the what, 5 trails and 3 jump areas, are more dh oriented. Its a fun place, absolutely, just not a downhillers paradise by any means. Personally I'd much rather take the 3 1/2 hour drive to Diablo than the 1 1/2 hour drive to Highland any day.Sorry but I know my ****, Im to Highland as Travis is to Diablo. You said we were more freeride oriented, but were not. And the general consensus is that there is more of a freeride scene, yes,m but we still have more DH than freeride.
Say what? Are you $hittin me? More DH oriented? I'd say maybe 2 out of the what, 5 trails and 3 jump areas, are more dh oriented. You just said your self. Are you $hittin me? More DH oriented? I'd say maybe 2 out of the what, 5 trails and 3 jump areas, are more dh oriented.
Oh really. How long did that put you out for? any surgeries??? Next time you shouldn't just huck it like that.I know..Last season I attempted it, slipped, and scrapped my knee.
Yeah I was out for the season. I went to the doctor, and he diagnosed me with some hydrogen peroxide and a band aid. The pain was unbearable. Next season I plan on learning the lines more better.Oh really. How long did that put you out for? any surgeries??? Next time you shouldn't just huck it like that.
o..............my god.Yeah I was out for the season. I went to the doctor, and he diagnosed me with some hydrogen peroxide and a band aid. The pain was unbearable. Next season I plan on learning the lines more better.
Thanks. Schwa, why the hell wouldn't you go to a place thats 2 hours closer, and is COMPLETLY dedicated to biking?Say what?
Threshold, Maiden Voyage, Fancy Feast, and Hemlock are some sick downhill runs. Threshold is so much fun to go all out on.
Are you Greg? Thanks. Schwa, why the hell wouldn't you go to a place thats 2 hours closer, and is COMPLETLY dedicated to biking?
"more better"Yeah I was out for the season. I went to the doctor, and he diagnosed me with some hydrogen peroxide and a band aid. The pain was unbearable. Next season I plan on learning the lines more better.
speaking of stupidity...deeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.haa i love the internet and the seriousness and stupidty..haha
I think since I have been a loyal visitor to Diablo since they have opened and I have spent probably close to $10,000 at Diablo in season passes, food, parts, gear, t-shirts, bike fixes and parking I have the right to voice my opinion just like everyone else.I understand that and completely agree with you. But comments like are more of a slap in the face then a post that is actually helpful.
I too am a loyal visitor. My parents dragged my ass there almost everyday last summer...I think since I have been a loyal visitor to Diablo since they have opened and I have spent probably close to $10,000 at Diablo in season passes, food, parts, gear, t-shirts, bike fixes and parking I have the right to voice my opinion just like everyone else.
The simple fact is that all new stuff seems a bit on the easy level and thats great to get some beginners involved and it worked. I have seen tons of new riders there this year. On the other hand, what I'm looking for are those hits where you have to man up and go big and as I said, I haven't seen that since Road to Nowhere. Or at least some steep rocky trails with natural drops would be nice which is the reason I got into downhill/free-ride. Come talk to me after you have ridden there 150+ times and tell me your not looking for the difficulty level to increase.
Besides my criticisms I think I was pretty careful to point out that Diablo is the best place in the area and that the trail crew is doing a good job.
What are you talking about, I do. Don't you remember the time when I back flipped Asylum? If you want a new challenge try going extremely fast and gapping rock gardens. You wont.
Yeah whatever your just a killa and a hundred dolla billa. What are you talking about, I do. Don't you remember the time when I back flipped Asylum?
you should they are a lot nicer then your bike.i love rentals!
I agree with what your saying but its best that people just keep their mouthes shut. It costs Diablo a lot of money to put up these "stunts" and they do an awesome job for a trail crew of like 4 guys..
Not to beat a dead horse here but are you kidding me? Have you ever heard of the saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Just in case you didn't, it means that those who speak up get attention. If enough people shared the same opinions then Diablo would do something. I'm not here to whine because Diablo is not perfect for me. Im clearly telling Diablo what they need to do to keep a long time customer interested in coming back. If my interests are not a majority then so be it, Ill take up hang gliding or spend more time traveling and that's cool with me too.I agree with what your saying but its best that people just keep their mouthes shut.
Rather than explaining this one for the third time, just go back and read my last 2 posts. Or even better, here you go:It costs Diablo a lot of money to put up these "stunts" and they do an awesome job for a trail crew of like 4 guys.
"Diablo is the best place in the area and that the trail crew is doing a good job"
I'm done explaining myself here. Ill see you on the mountain in the spring. Until then, good luck getting everyone to shut up in a public forum."crew they have is certainly not the problem. I don't think they could do much more"
Joe that cant even comapair to when i used road to no where as a step up and tail whipped it with dual crown forks (that was not i typo i actually mean dual crown)What are you talking about, I do. Don't you remember the time when I back flipped Asylum?
Yeah that was pretty gnar, do you remember the time I can can abubuca'd it to landing chainless and half cabbing out?Joe that cant even comapair to when i used road to no where as a step up and tail whipped it with dual crown forks (that was not i typo i actually mean dual crown)
well chris, i was there and all you did was kept casing the tip of it. Well that one time when you got it was sweet. But do you remember that time i did a 180 off the first salvation kicker and rolled back all the way to the second kicker then i did a half cab barspin off that kicker and did a seat stand manual down the rest of the mountain.
Really?! I could have sworn it was Joey/no joe your mistaking joey for me
