Opinions...

Worst president ever. I'm not sure if he is stupid or crazy like a fox, but at this point I don't care anymore. A dishonest president I can put up with (seems like we don't really have a choice,) but a willfully ignorant one is just too much for me.

But you know what they say about opinions...

He's so drastic that he'll either go down as the worst ever or be hailed as one of the best ever.
Looking at the way he managed to burn all the goodwill the US had after 9/11, I'd say that the historians are not going to look that kindly upon him.

Still, I hit the carpet every night praying that he makes it to November. The two scariest words in the English language when combined? "President Cheney"

Ughh....I need a shower.

you're going to have to substatiate your comments. Explain or provide a link on how Clinton screwed the economy.

Ironically, I would vote for Kerry because he would be far better for the US economy than Bush (screwed up budget, whacky farm and pharm policies), but I like Bush's foreign policy better. Granted, that's in part cuz Kerry hasn't really spoken up enough for me to form any sort of opinion.

My grandparents have mountain bikes too and then ride them on roads - dirt and asphalt - the body position is more comfortable than a road bike and older people like that.

Of course they don't claim to be and aren't mountain bikers. Neither is Bush ;)

I bet you $5 that in a XC race longer than 15 miles and 3000' of gain that, against all of RM, Bush would place in the top 1/3

Ran for congress and lost.

Produced a Hollywood slasher B movie.

First year in office set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history.

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, presided over the worst security failure in US history.

Set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips than any other president in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.

Cut unemployment benefits for more out of work Americans than any president in US history.

Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12 month period.

Cut healthcare benefits for war veterans.

Set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind. (http://www.hyperreal.org/~dana/marches/)

Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

My presidency is the most secretive and un-accountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (the 'poorest' multi-millionaire, Condoleezza Rice has an Chevron oil tanker named after her).

Had more states to simultaneously go bankrupt than any president in the history of the United States.

Presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any country in the history of the world.

Created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States.

First president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)

First US president to establish a secret shadow government.

Took the biggest world sympathy for the US after 911, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

Thats some good stuff bigmike! I think bush is a moron. We seriously have a puppet for a president, he says some of the most stupid things when hes without his Q-cards. Its worthwhile checking out www.howardstern.com he has many interesting links relating to this type of stuff. I cant wait to see Micheal Moores, "Farenheit 9/11", should be very interesting! There is so much about this guy that people are oblivious to, or dont want to admit, its nuts

i did see that flick, thought it was shocking. I am a ralatively young guy just begining to look at politics and form my own opinions and ideas, that film had some things Id never really thought of. FYI. when i said above that " there is so much about this guy that people are oblivious to" I was refering to bush. not to get off the bush topic, I am with Moore on this stuff.

i cant say i remember enough of the film to make valid conclusions. I saw it a while back, this was before I really had an interest in this type of thing. What really sparked my interest, more recently than BFC, in this "politics" stuff was the whole deal with Howard Stern and the FCC. I would be willing to rent BFC again, What did you particularly find so misleading and halve truthed in BFC?

what about it? Do you mean the FCC coming down harder on everyone like Bubba the Love Sponge in Tampa or Janet Jackson? Or something specific to stern?

You should always take everything that somebody else tells you as fact with a grain of salt. Was "Bowling for Columbine" full of half truths? Yes. Did it bring up some good point about our societies outlook on guns? Yes. Can you get a gun for opening a checking account? No, you get a voucher for a free gun after a background check. Are there scary gun totin' freaks in Mich? Yes. Can 16 yr old kids by handgun ammo at K-mart? Yes. I used to buy gun powder at Wal-mart when I was 13-14.

Why do you ask about riding a bike... we know you've never been on one :blah:

Besides, it's well documented that BFC is a joke of a movie.

Close. Had you only asked if he had seen it this would be true. But commenting on "half truths" indicates some knowledge other than what you read online :)
