I know there is a lot if skilled riders on this forum. Have any of you ever thought of giving private lessons? Just to show them the basics and get them started.

I give a lot of women private riding lessons.
You need a permit to give paid lessons on public land, so no. At races I do coaching laps with the amatuer riders on our team.
Funniest thing I've heard in a long time Joey... You still have Zits on your face, no women are taking your lessons.
a friend just started up her program: "Dirt, Rock n Root Training" out east here primarily for the ladies.
I've been giving lessons to any friend that wanted to start riding (either dh or xc) if they asked me.
I do anywhere from 0 to 3 official lessons days a year. the rest is done on a continuous basis as i ride with newer people. giving them advise as i see them riding. I've alway been happy to share my experience. but it has never been a paying or official thing for me. I do it for fun and because i'm passionate about riding.
One of my friend started a professional coaching business, he's mainly working out of Quebec city but travel all around the province of quebec. Very skileld rider and good teacher.
