I vaguely remember someone mentioning that there are a few, probably Dillon area?

Anywho, heading to Vail tonight, thought I might check out various stores for cycling and backpacking gear.

My girl told me last night she wants a new bike  Plus, she's never been backpacking, so need some more of them toys too.

Do you know of a store or three that's got good deals?

LO, this is the time of season shops in Steamboat starts to move out all their old stock and readying for the summer. Unfortunately, it's winter gear that's targeted for now. But they still have sweet-ass deals. They also have a birthday deal, but you'll need to come up w/ some sort of local ID, I forgot what it was. The shop's name is Ski Haus and it's right on US Hwy 40 as you pull into town.
They're a big Cannonwhale, EM, Bianchi, and Specialized dealer.
There's a new Gart in town, but it's not cheap. I'd try Silverthorn's outlet Garts.
If you want some hardcore expedition level gear for camping, try Pete's Backdoor Sports when/if you're ever in the 'Boat. It's pretty reasonably priced for the level of goods being sold there.
