You can't get the complete SX Trail? The complete bike already has a sweet build up. Plus, you won't have to wait all kinds for parts to arrive, and you can spend the extra money on a cool riding trip.

^^ really. Why not take the stock build? Its pretty damm great out of the box.

I'd grab a 06 Sxtrail 1 and change the following.

- ditch the stock pedals, get what ever you like.

- Put on a set of ODI lock on grips, I like the rogue's my self.

- Change the stock headset to a RaceFace Diablos

- Thompson Stem and post if you wan to spend a few bucks on pimp'n

- Grab a Titec El Nore sadle.

Thoes are the only changes I'm making to my SXT other then maby getting a ti coil down the road.

I just ordered my sxt II. You already get a sick build right outta the box. why not do that and save some money? the only thing i'm going to change is a king HS, lock ons, and tires.

It's $4600 CAD for stock, $2000 for frame, any ideas where I can buy for cheaper? I don't mind ordering.

Any cheap places in the Vancouver, for those who are local?
The price above was dizzycycles.

My gf just bought a Enduro (sx frame) and did the exact same thing.
New grips, pedals, seat, King HS, bars and stem.

The bike came with a Fox 36 and DHX-5 air and juicy 7's. Tough to beat for $2700

Pretty similar to what I did...but the stock pedals kick arse. Best flattys I have had yet.

Are they the same geometry ? I think the trail is slacker than standard Enduro geometry.

Well if you're set on building it up, I'd do:

-stock post
-King HS
-TruVativ stem
-Easton bars
-Holzfeller cranks
-TruVativ BB
-Shimano shifting (saint shifter, 105 derailleur, Dura-ace chain, Ultegra cassette)
-Fox 36R Vanilla
-Mavic 721s on Hope hubs

y puta road cassete on a freeride bike? and those syncros derived seatpost suck donkey balls
I run Dura-ace on all of my bikes, mainly because they are all race bikes but another reason is because they are so lightweight and still take the same abuse that mtn cassettes do.

I'm not a pansy so I can pedal the hard gears up a hill and enjoy the benefits of tighter gear spacing.

And the Syncros is fine. I'm a cheap bastard so I wouldn't pay to upgrade it.
