Why does this site have so many goddamned popups? The only other sites I frequent with ones this pervasive and numerous are torrent trackers and midget porn sites...I'm a "premium member" and still get them, before I login from a public computer it's a fvcking barrage of death. Jus' wonderin'...

Mostly when I punch in the www.ridemonkey.com/forums/ url into a public computer. Popup blockers catch most, but some still get through. Mostly it's American Express and travel ads (tribalfusion). They're flash, and it bogs down slower machines...thanks for looking into it, I understand it likely isn't your doing.

as an aside, on my home computer with Firefox I don't get any, I don't think. Probably owing to the browser...

Firefox > Tools > Add-ons > Get Extensions > Search for Adblock Plus

Google and IE 6 both have popup blockers though. You can also download a premade hosts file (see google) if you have the ability to change it on the machine.
