at school kids eff themselves with xacto knives, a little superglue and ten minutes and back to work.

that sticks to the wound and if you try to pull it off too soon you are back to square one.... not to mention its very acidic glue... it can kill warts...

Cuz there's no point, and if you apply prolonged direct contact with ice it'll do more harm than good.

i take first aid classes and it's a good idea if all mt. bikers do really...

Yeah, its pretty scary to hear some of these freak's suggestions. Get educated, take a class in first aid & cpr, they're cheap and don't take long. You should do this even if you don't mountain bike. Chances are pretty good you'll want this info some day.

And FWIW - use caution when supergluing yourself shut. It keeps blood, and everything else in. It's the "everything else" that's a problem. If the cut aint clean, you WILL get an infection.
