A 68HA is an excellent compromise between an xc and a dj. Any thing lower than a 67HA is too slackto dj. If you want a bike that change geo. Get an evil with an adjustable
fork. Problem eliminated.

I've already got a 19 pound XC race hardtail. I'm not actually going to do that with this hypothetical bike, I was just agreeing that it would be awesome in its versatility. No, it wouldn't be a great XC bike, but I think it would be doable.not to be a negative nancy, but these things are pretty cheap...why not buy a dedicated HT for XC and one for DJ? They're kind of mutually exclusive...one is sharp fast light and nimble, the other is slack, heavy, durable, and forgiving...you're either going to have a crappy DJ build that you don't want to ditch in a wreck, or a slow XC bike that can't deal with the climbs.
Unless you're just one of those stompers that doesn't care as long as it has wheels...ie w00dy with his 32lb intense spider.
Just got of the phone with Mickey. This possibility is looking strong.spooky.
did he go on a tangent about his political views?Just got of the phone with Mickey. This possibility is looking strong.
Nah, but we did explain to me why everyone should have a super light XC hardtail, and told me a story about hanging out at his friend's parent's place and riding around on their lawn.did he go on a tangent about his political views?
Dear Mickey,Bizzump. Just spent a while hanging out with Mickey while the fvcking lift at Whiteface was broken, and while their upcoming bike is sweet, it's not quite what I want. Bueller?
The custom option is being explored.
I loved my .243, wish I would not have sold it. But I needed junk and I was broke...What about something like a .243 racing frame or something along those lines?
Maybe want. Got the full geo handy?[spam]
I've got a 1st generation Dobermann frame with a 23" TT hanging around. It's not in good shape, but it's tough as nails. Probably a bit shorter in the seat tube than you want...

Edit: Much lower than you're looking for in the seat tube department. Maybe next time.
Think I've got a line on a Blue Pig from kidwithbike, but maybe if that doesn't work out.Hey HAB - I know the frame is super heavy - but would an Azonic Steelhead work? I've got an XL one that is in tip top shape. It is one of the first generation ones.
Lemme know.
