So about a month and a half ago I was out doing a night ride and was bombing down the trail and came up on this section where you have to jump a small ditch. I looked up and there was someone climbing UP the trail and they were right in the landing spot so I pulled hard to the right, nailed the ditch and wend down hard. Got up and went to wipe all the blood off my leg when I noticed my right middle finger didn't work... OUCH... It was not pointed the right way any more!! Doc said I dislocated it and broke off a piece of bone where the tendon attaches. This is my middle finger and it is the joint closer to the palm, not the one closer to the tip.
I was in a plastic splint 100% for the first week (now only at night), then for PT they started bending it a bit. After the next week I could touch the base of my palm with manual intervention and it has slowly been getting a little more and more mobility, but I still can't make a fist and it takes a whole lotta effort to even grab my steering wheel and when I can, I have ZERO strength.
I'm sure I'm not the first one out here to do this to themselves... If you wanna tell how it happened cool. What I'd really like to know I guess is how long it took you to get to a place where you could ride w/o endangering yourself and how close to a 100% recovery you have progressed.
Something like this I guess...

Something like this I guess...
- It happened to me this long ago.
- It took me_____ to start to do easy rides again
- I was healed up enough to start getting aggressive again by ______.
- And now after ______ I don't even notice it ever happened (or) And now even ______ years out my finger is still super stiff every morning and I've never gotten back to more than ____% strength/mobility.
