Xmas gift to myself was a DBX comp. However my helmet has been slammed against the back plate for most of the riding I have done.

I suppose I could get more used to it but if my giro remedy is causing some of the problem I need to do just that.. Remedy it! Har har har :D

I am aware that d3's are tapered in the back to ease some of this issue. Buut tld stuff is priceeeeey and I wreck alot and bang up helmets.

I like the new 661 helmet. It appears to be a bit tapered.

Do y'all know of any others out there designed with leatt use in mind?

giro remedy was fine for me on the leatt. Its been the most out of the way helmet ive used with the leatt. i got the adjustable leatt and slammed it and now got a DOT helmet though. you may just want to get the adjustable leatt.

I've got LB GPX Club II (but with old padding) and Giro Remedy as well as 661 Evo helmet.
661 allows more back movement than Giro. However, Giro didn't cause any problems, at all.

not absolotely sure if the II model is the same as the original. However, on the original, you can turn the nuts on the back 180° and get another 1/2" of adjustment in the back.

Troy Lee SE2 and Rockgardn helmets work good with the Leatt.

Im running a 661 Evo and it works perfect even without the leatt at its lowest setting at the rear. The Evos are cheaper than most and I find it alot nicer than my previous TLD.

dont think there's a right answer for "which helmet goes best with a leatt", as we all have different size heads and different neck lengths.

i have a small GPX Club, and both a medium Remedy and a small THE ONE(currently) fit just fine.

I also want to point out that a MotoX helmet that is marketed "Leatt compatible" may not work for a DH rider due to different posture in the attack position.

I have LB Club II with Shoei VFX-W,it perfectly matches even in the attack position it doesn't cause problems.I couldn't tell the same when i head the Club1 brace on with the Shoei combo it didn't worked though.

Leatt Club with my old 661 Flight moto helmet didn't work so well. I tried with a Remedy, but still had issues. My 2010 661 Evolution works great.

Thanks for the link skull crack

I will continue my research and ride a bit more with my current helmet and see what happens. The 661 helmet is looking very appealing though..:D

this adjustment made all the difference!

I also was able to slam the back plate down by another 'smidge' also.

Now it is just up to me getting used to wearing it. my helmet contacts is occasionally but nowhere near the obstruction of my first ride.

Thanks :thumb:

Another vote for the SixSixOne Evo Carbon. The shell appears to be identical to my '10 Evolution Carbon (looks like they only changed the carbon weave . . . and the name slightly). I'm using mine with the Club (rear table slammed/nuts flipped) and it's perfect.
