Anyone have any opinions? It's a 2002.5 Foes Fly and I like the idea of a lighter, long travel singlecrown that has HSCV damping. I will be riding downhill on it, dropping, occasional trail riding, etc. The build on the bike is a heavy strong build.

Castle seems to like his on his vpfree and he recently got it[66].

I had one for about 2 weeks, but I had to send it back to marz. because the rebound was messed up out of the box. The little riding time I had on it at local trails and at Snowshoe were still enjoyable.

I'm 5'5" so the fork made my bullit feel really tall. I'm going to end up selling this fork to my friend when it comes back from marz and I'll be waiting for the shorter 2006 model.

http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=103874&highlight=foes+66 here's a fly with a 66 but it's new, it's hot!

If the angles are similar between the year models on the fly then it looks like the head angle would be ok, but I agree that fork is too tall for most climbing.

I really don't have much else to say really, I did just install a 66 on my vpfree and from the parking lot spin it does seem like it'll be a good thing for my riding vs. the 888works I had on it... it's noticeably lighter when turning, I was able to get my bars a little bit lower w/ a little bit slacker head angle, also stands taller in it's travel due to air assist.....

word is that the '06 will be 40mm's lower axle to crown maybe Brian P. can chime in with the truth behind this. I personally wouldn't want the 66 in a 550 axle to crown heigth on my big bike

There is a discrepancy there, Marzocchi website lists 170mm 66 at 595mm and the 200mm 888 at 605mm. I can see the a/c being lower using the works or go-ride crowns.

My Fly with the 888 and drop crown rides way better than it did without the drop crowns. The Fly is designed on a 7" travel fork with a 22.5" A-C. Mine has about 23" with the 888 and drop crowns.

The 7" 66 A-C is about 23.5.

hmm i guess I will stick with the Shiver then. The seller of the 66RC said his shed was robbed and the 66RC was stolen, so no worries.
