Is a QR 20 hub capable of running a regular 20 mm axle or only the marzocchi qr axle set up?

Yes, it works with either.
yeh man as long as the diminsions match that is all that matters.
The axle may be different from fork to fork but any 20mm hub will work on any 20mm fork reguardless of hexlock, qr20, maxle... Hub standards are one of the few standards that the industry has been pretty good about embracing.

Jensons has the axle youll want to have for about ten bucks, thats what i did on my z150, didnt like the qr, got the old standard type. Would post a pic, but dont have a good one that you can see
Only the early QR20 forks had a the 'Zoke-only hub requirement. Fortunately, Marzocchi saw the error of that way and corrected it in 2001 (I think) to use any 20mm hub.
