Morning monkeys. Holy High Wind Advisory Batman! We had crazy wind all night long and this morning. I though my house was going to blow down a few times. Supposedly there were 1000s of people without power last night but thankfully we were not one of them.
ahh the day before demolition derby begins in Northern Calif, in other words the first big rain of the season aka bad driver culling day. I figure my normal 1 hour commute will take two hours from all the dumb asses speeding, hitting the brakes, sliding on the oily film and slamming into each other. Film at 11
Morning. I have leftover chinese for lunch...I know you're all jealous!
We got Iceballs high winds this morning which made for an interesting commute, dodging tree parts Syd has swim tonight and then I'll be chillin' in the hot tub before bed. That's really all I have to report!
My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the snow! Mt Bachelor's snow update: "Deep powder. Grooming cannot keep up with the rate of snowfall. Most runs will appear ungroomed."
Wow, what a slush filled day. Portland got about 6" of snow overnight, then about 4:00 this morning it started pouring Portland style. Now there is about 4" of water mixed into the snow, just enough to cover your entire foot. Very pleasant, I must say.
Flurries. Call the reserves! Getting to test out my snow tires is such a blast. I'd be quite happy driving in snowy conditions every day. So much more fun...
First prenatal class last night. We are definitely living "Out West". I'd be fine if there weren't mirrors on every wall where I can see myself smirking. Comparisons to Bikram-Yoga-levels of concentration and sudden dramatizations of contractrions abound!
Alas, I will be missing the last session to go riding in Costa Rica.
Trying hard to convince myself I'm not a bad person...... aaaaaand I'm spent. That was hard.
Snow day! Made a snow man with the little one and went sledding. I know it's not that big of a deal for the rest of the country, but this happens like every 3 years, so we were stoked! Hoping the schools are open so I can go to work tomorrow though, SOMEONE has to pay the bills around here!
