I got nacho cheese all over my Vans at Dwight Yoakam and Buck Owens back in 88.

funny enough, it's related to Roger Miller's tinnitus, which was among one of the reason he stopped playing loud rock music and branched out into quieter things like Birdsongs of the Mesozoic and the Alloy Orchestra. when i 1st saw them play post-reunion in Jan 02, he was wearing big rifle range-type headphones, in addition to the 'popemobile' apparatus around Prescott's kit. he had some in-ear implants which likely attenuated the volume enough to not need those.
after the show i gave clint conley (who came back out and was talking w/ random punters) a business card, hopefully he passed it on to roger as well.
Thought it might have been to protect from random beer bottles.
Same here. I was surprised to see that he didn't have them on here.
