Hey Guys

Im moving to Oceanside for the winter from NY. I am looking for some sweet DH and AM riding. I am also hoping to race the Fontana series. Is there any riding near Oceanside or should I look to live somewhere else? Thanks for the help

Go to www.mountainbikebill.com In the window on the left side (San Diego area) and (North County).

Other then that, trails near Oceanslime include: La Costa, Calavera, Elfin Forest, Daily Ranch, Vail Lake, Ted Williams, etc...

Hey, I hiked Tenaja (sp) last week and was bummed that there was no biking allowed on some super rad rocky singletracks there. Then we passed Wildomar on our way out and saw some potential.

Would you be interested in guiding a ride soon?

Beacon, in Oside, Calavera is the most convenient. If you're exploratory and energetic, there are several fun descents there that would keep you honest. I have yet to explore the whole network but I'm finding new stuff or reroutes or connectors and such each time I ride there. I just don't dig the the climbs.

San Clemente Singletracks is also a good spot just a short drive up north on I-5. Laguna is golden. The rest, well... :)

I have rode Tenaja Falls all the way to the junction of Killen trail. It is illegal, but I was thinking it is only illegal if you get caught. The trail is kick arese though. Fish Camp trail is close by also, mtb's are allowed. Wildomar has mad potential. There is a ride there posted on STR for 9am. Meet at top of Farm road.

Theres some sweet stuff back by santa rosa plateau, they have superman, slaughter house, and a few others with some pretty cool step ups 7' + and if you dont make it its pretty damn funny!

Lake Elsinore has a notorious Intense trail as some call it the sam hill and it has work that Kovarik did and a few others last year thats pretty stupid steep and sick. Absolutely love that trail, Troy from Foes rides it alot with JD and the other guys. Thats 1 that has to be ridden a few times, troy and I hit it no less than 5 times in a row, He rides it clipped and it can be pretty funny at times.

Go to socaltrailriders.org as well and theres a couple of guys that ride alot.

Theres, wilson park (hemet), Idylwyld (by hurkey creek) has 2 really nice runs 1 with huge hits all the way down and the other is pretty SICK in its own right.
If you go N. theres w.texas and another that will make your balls hurt just looking at, theres webb in clairemont (not in sd, but N.E. of LA), theres the corona trails (have to know someone for these), theres little nasty between elsinore and tuscany hills, on the ortega HWY (between OC and Elsinore) theres blue jay and a couple of others that are 16 miles of single track that you can pin and just drift its pretty sick for a fast line. Theres telonix, ted willys, and several others. Im heading back in August for good, cant handle Idaho........

Theres some good peeps in the socal forum some of the best Ive ever met and ALOT of fun to ride with these guys.:thumb:

Good luck and Im jealouse, wish I was back but instead Im stuck here watching it snow today!!!!!

I ride Simpson in Hemet. The parks name is not Wilson, but cool boulder rollers if your into that stuff. The drop in to Romona bowl from the cross is sick.. I shuttle that five times. Idyllwild is sick if you know the trails and how to link up. The optimator is screaming bad ass.
