any ideas as to what is producing the clicking noise???

Sounds like you have a snapple cap in your suspension...

No really, did you check all pivot bolts? Don't just check to see if they are tight, take them out and make sure they are still in one piece.

it is not the seatpost.
i took off the shock and cycled through the travel and nothing.
so its down to the shock and the pivot bolts.
i have had some problems with the bolts, they loosen up and need to be tighten after runs.

If you cycled the shock... i.e. removed the spring, and you are coming up with nothing. I would say replace all pivot bolts, and put a dab of locktite on the new bolts. Should be a cheap fix.

oh. my bad. i meant i cycled the bike through its travel. sorry.
well im taking it to the shop tomorrow. not just for this problem. but i'll have them check it out.

that sounds like maybe a bent or pushed out linkk due to one of the pivot bolts coming out or being broken/bent...let us know what it was

so the mechanic called and said he got it to stop by cleaning and greasing all the shock mount bolts. YAY! :banana:
