Except cars are VERY subsidized via the general tax fund. Sure, bikes need an infrastructure, but they also don't put wear on the roads and we pay into general fund just as much as cars owners do.

They keep bringing this up here. Luckily, our Mayor and County Council are very pro-bike.

When I read the proposed bill, I knew it wasn't going to make it. It would have cost them more to enforce it than they would have made off of it. This is coming from the same state that tried to pass a very stupid quick release law. At work when we initially heard of it, we were a bit concerned. Fortunately, it was shot down in less than a week.

Cleopatra was getting bombarded with complaints and it would have been shot down at the voting stage since pretty much the rest of the assembly was opposed to it.
