Got the shifters rear derailleur and chain and cassette mounted up last night. The derailleur I need is a couple weeks away. Pretty straightforward set up. The 9 speed XT derailleur on the 9 speed triple XTR cranks and rings did not seem to work well. The chain dropped off the big and went straight to the 22. That was with the 10 speed triple shifter. I did not fiddle much so I may have been able to tune it better. It seemed the ten speed chain wasn't catching the middle ring. So I installed the Rotor two by crank, 27 X 40 with a narrower chain line and set the shifter to double and it works well in the stand. It was dark cold and raining so I have not ridden it yet but I think it will function well enough until I get the two speed front derailleur mounted up in a couple weeks.
^^^ great success. I've decided I'm keeping my yeti you sold me, and will eventually build it back up, though its not high priority.
