It works for me.

it was broken for only about 10 minutes. when it's broken it presents me with an option to search for posts updated in the last 24 hours instead -- that is, the same option as when not logged in (only i clearly was, with Welcome, Toshi in the upper right, etc.).

Yeah, it needs the cookies to know when you were last on the site, and thus which threads are "new" relative to that time.

hmm, so it works from the local cookie, not some server side record of the last visit? if i go back home and check new posts will it be from the time i last viewed RM from home, ignoring the visit in between from another computer?
