A long time coming, and now she's here. My new, best love, fresh out of the build room.
Break-in ride tomorrow. Have tubulars being glued up as we speak, so they'll be on by next week, I'll update with a new pic.
Colnago C50, 54 sloping size (as suggested by Mr. Colnago when I got fit last year, though I did go with a stem shorter than the 140mm he said).

Mis-matched bar/stem, but that's ok, dig the stem color...

Ceramic, of course

The custom 28.0mm K-Force Lite post I had created last year (the C50 and Extreme C frames use a weird 28.0mm post size)

hey A$$ hole, how about showing some respect for the rest of our broke A$$es

ummmm, what might this morsel of goodness weigh?
Sorry about that. Well, I'm not really.

I haven't weighed it. The C50 isn't the lightest frame, but it's one of the best riding overall out there. There is a reason so many pros still ride it.
That said, I think it's pretty light, I'd estimate upper 16s or low 17s probably. What wheels I'm running will affect it too, but the Dura Ace are pretty light.

No Campy, I used what I had around. Would have had the Red on there if I got it on time, might swap it out later, we'll see.

I'll find out how great tomorrow...

my race bike is being replaced by uhaul since it was one of thier riders fault my carbon frame was trashed so they are putting a tarmac in its place. I also cut out the BB shell of the fuji and I am getting either a new team frame or SL2 as a crash replacement.

I will have pics when they get done, In the mean time I got an 08 enduro SL and have been killing my hammies on the lake trail.

I am putting the full FSA carbon kit on the tarmac and not sure what kit I will put on the Fuji

Almost, yeah, almost...:)

Yup, the new Easton bar. I'm pretty pumped with it, love the shape for sure. Nice and light too. Love the stem too, I'm a fan of the OS115 stem, have had one on one of my MTBs for a few years.

The Enduro is a pretty dope bike, perfect for the trails up there eh?

enduro is a perfect bike for here. in fact it was built just for the sierras and coastal ranges of cali. I was talking with mike sinyard last month during a fit course in morgan hill and he was saying during the start of the project he left his hands off of it and left the complete suspension system up to mike mcandrews and all of the the rest of the bike up to the MT riders of the company with racer involvment.

I was sceptical about the suspension untill I found out who designed it and had to try one. once I ordered it and set it up I havent been off it since. I would imagine it is going to be hard to get back on the road bike for training when they come back.

we got a box from Veltec today that had "James 3000" written on a card on the inside.
Ohhhh. Ha! No, we're having the guy who packs the box sign that it's been checked, and there is another guy in the warehouse named James.
I spent my day on conference calls and in meetings, didn't get home until almost 7.
Makes me miss the old days of being in sales, leave every day at the same time...

I was lusting over that thing when it came out, I like how they just did what they thought would be best, didn't take into account too much other stuff. Need a fork? Make it.

I'm in the market for a new trail bike soon, looking forward to the choices.

One of the local teams here is rolling on Colnago. With Bora wheels, etc.

I'm blessed with a job that provides me access to this stuff. Not that I have as much time to ride it as I like.
The wheels were a gift from my Shimano rep last year, they're protos, but pretty close to production.

There is no describing the amount of gear and goodies James has. It's painful.
LOL, I know. Sick ride James, give us a review after you get some time on it. Maybe you can find a flaw so we will all be less jealous :p

gotta chime in and say i'm also jealous. i love the paint job, not your typical red, black and white job your now seeing everywhere. i'm iffy on the stem color, i like the contrast with the carbon face plate but if i look at it enough, and i'm trying my best not too because of said jealousy, i'm sure it will grow on me to like it. maybe if it were painted as the frame with the tri colors then it may be a stronger winner. hope you get to enjoy it alot, if not i'm always looking for a hand me down!!! LOL!!!!

Yeah, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm all about it. I originally ordered that stem, a white post, and a white bar from FSA for another bike of mine, but couldn't help but put the stem on this one. Will probably get another one for the Look.

How many bikes do you have James?
Um, well, a few.
6 road bikes now, which is probably a bit excessive eh? One of those is a TT bike though, and one is the "winter/crappy conditions" bike so the nicer ones don't get too thrashed.

MTBs I think 7, if you don't count frames. Also a CX bike and just got a Kona Paddy Wagon frame, so I'm in the process of building that one up.
I have some frames too, an old original Bontrager CX, a proto Giant DH frame, one or two others. And an ass-load of wheels too, but those get switched around on the road bikes depending on my mood and the ride.
VTJim has seen the bike areas over the years, I keep saying I'm going to have less bikes, but the opposite seems to be true.

I am going to sell 3 of the FS mountain bikes though, and just replace them with one, keep the hardtails though, they're fun. Sell 1-2 of the road bikes too, and maybe the TT, but I know I'll never be able to justify buying a TT frame, so I kind of want to keep it, "just in case."

It is a bit of an obsession...but it's also a career, so I guess it all works out.

James better watch his back, the mafia doesn't take these things lightly.
I know huh? Shimano and FSA! Well, Shimano and FSA sponsor a bunch of Colnago teams, and the folks in Italy are starting to spec it on their bikes for the home country, plus FSA was good enough to custom-make us that 28mm seatpost so C50 owners would have a choice of posts.

Either way I'll have someone start my car for me...
