After a shotgun move back to the East Coast, I've finally (mostly) gotten stuff squared away in the garage. New company means new toys to ride.
Big shout out to TJ for the hookup on a couple of these, helped me get rid of some Felts and replace them with bikes from a company I draw a paycheck from. Enjoy that Record buddy!

I still have one more bike I'm in the process of finishing, just waiting on a fork. Most of these parts I moved over from the previous bikes, just new frames.

Messed around with the C50 a bit, just swapped out the tape and seat color to black, I think it looks a bit better, less full Euro style.

SystemSix frame I picked up my 2nd week here. I've always lusted after this bike, and now I can have one. NOS frame that took parts from my old F1SL mostly.

Ah TJ, thank you for letting me replace the alloy Felt with another, nicer alloy frame. Always have to have one of these in the quiver. Will hopefully get my hands on a full carbon fork in white to drop some weight.

TJ to the rescue again, so I've gone from 0 Systems to 2. This will live at the office for the daily rides. Will be swapping the stem out for one of the System Six stems like on the other one, giant base so it melds with the headtube better.

The family:

Not shown: the powdercoated alloy frame, which I moved to my in-laws house out on Long Island, so I don't have to shuttle bikes back and forth.

I haven't ridden in waaay too long, most of you don't know but I'm expecting a daughter any day now, the official due date is this Saturday, the 7th, but it could be any time. So I haven't been on the bike in a while, I have to stay near a phone, and my car, ready to go at a moment's notice. After she's here I'll be back on the riding to work, riding at the 3pm ride, etc. But for now all I can do is polish, obsess over bartape/saddle color.
I'll update with baby news soon I'm sure.

So much overlap...of course, this means there's always a source for used high-end goodies. Ha. Pretty bikes, as always. What wheels are on the black/red SystemSix?

On a related note, can you tell a difference in stiffness between the K-Force and SL-K cranks? Debating between the two.

Yes, overkill, overlap, all of that, but it's ok. Makes me happy/gives me something to do with myself and my time/money. Wheels on the red bike are Cole magnesium. Have a set of DT240s that are going on there tomorrow though.

Um, I haven't ridden the SLKs in quite a while, the K-Forces are pretty nice, I think it's hard to beat the Dura Ace cranks though. Surely they can't be more than the KFLs?

Ever get confused trying to shift after switching bikes? :) Nice looking rides and post pics of your kid when she's born. It's going to be a life changing experience (although I still ride a ton)

For some reason I just can never get used to getting back on the SRAM bike. Always been that way. I like the Red stuff, it just seems less...refined? than the others. Shifts like a gun firing, no subtlety. BANG BANG BANG

One of my friends that races Pro Marathon hates SRAM. He broke a chain during a race and swears it's due to the harsh shifts the system produces. I've barely ridden any SRAM stuff so I can't comment.

Despite that, it's pretty nice stuff, though I don't run their chains, Dura Ace or Wipperman usually. And actually, that bike only has Red shifters and rear derailleur, the front is a Dura Ace, brakes are TRP, chain is Wipperman, cassette is Dura Ace, cranks are Zipp. Ha.

Most excellent job on the CAAD build! That bike is a rocketship. As for fork, if you keep a eye on eBay you can find 3T forks in white sometimes. I barely missed out on one for it.
Oh, good call, I'll do that. Or maybe beg with the 3T guys at Eurobike... :)

The only reason it feels harsh is that, like with their mountain stuff, the indexing is a LOT more pronounced than Shimano's. It works well, it's just different.
