So my subscription to Newsweek has dried up. Any other recommendations for a weekly news magazine and why?

I’d rather have news than opinion and analysis.

My opinion 99% of mass media news outlets are commercially oriented and very similar in nature. Some lean left, some lean right...

I have found that Ecomomist is a good monthly periodical for the background and historical perspective of news events and their impact on the world as a whole.

The Christian Science Monitor is widely respected for unbiased news reporting. Don't let the name fool you - it is not a religous publication.
