Has anyone here had their frame warranty refused on grounds of having stripped the paint off with nitromors (or any other method)?

Hopefully everything will be hunky-dory, waiting to hear back at the moment...

There was a good thread on this topic- I forgot what manufacturer it was, but basically the dude lucked out. Hopefully you will too.

Depends on the manufacturer. I recently asked Pivot if chemically stripping one of their frames would void the warranty and they said no, go for it.

Nitromors would not affect the frame at all , so don't see why it should affect the warranty.
Sand blasting on the other hand would.

Never followed this up. Devinci were decent and replaced it under warranty, though did point out that they didn't NEED to, as I had stripped the paint, etc etc. Glad they did though :) Apparently the first chainstay that's ever cracked , though it seems very hard to believe!
