Two things to note about the finals next weekend the 27th & 28th.
There will be no overnight camping allowed on site. This is for real.
There is a person who has been causing some trouble for us as organizers. They will remain unnamed, however they have made official complaints to the Police, USA Cycling, the Oregon Forest service, and the OLCC (Oregon Liquor COntrol Comission). So please spread the word, if anyone is caught camping on site it may mean the end of the races at Ski Bowl.
The OLCC is cracking down. A few of the things that have changed is the camping, and the post race free Pilsner.
Both of which are staples of SkiBowl races. It sucks but unfortunately neither can continue until further notice.
On the other hand there is camping very close to the venue in a few different places. And the Ski Bowl Lodge has agreed to offer $1 beers post race, however you must remain in the lodge or on the deck. This is the best we could come up with to be compliant with the liquor control board.
Another thing regarding the finals is that to be in contention for the overall the Final must constitute as one of your 4 finishes. The last race must be attended to be awarded a series overall ranking. The last one is going to be a good one so don't miss it!
Please spread the word about these issues.
