Is there anything you can include in your diet that will help speed up healing? I just tore a tendon in my hand while rock climbing and am not thrilled about taking any time off- especially more than is needed. Thanks-

I've heard that the essential oil of Lavender is a fantastic healer. You might not want to ingest it, but using it topically is the way to go.

I had a client tell me that she applied lavender topically to her daughter's broken tibia and it healed in three weeks instead of six. MD was stunned...

Also, hot and cold treatments are good for tendon/ligment healing by providing good blood flow.

Ice for 20 min (no more)
Heat for 20 min (not more that 110 degrees)
Ice

As often as you like.

Make sure that you are eating adequate protein - high quality protein (from meat, fich, chicken, eggs) is best.
