I will have it built tonight and will ride raysMTB Thursday and Friday... so I will have a review soon. I have reused an alienation runaway 3 times now in a year and a half... it has flat spots and I am tired of the rim not being big enough with small hooks for the tire bead. I hope the Hazard fairs better with the KHE MAC2.
I have it built. Very nice. It has nice big hooks for the tire bead and even the KHE needs much effort to get it on. The braking performance on the chrome is impressive. The rim weighs 648 grams. Will post more after a few nights @ RaysMTB and the final retension of the spokes.
Oh yes this is a sweet rim! I put the rear wheel through 782 jumps.. some cases and under roated 180's and after the initial bed in and true it is super solid. Guys we finally have a true replacement for the R.I.P Sun BFR! I just ordered another one for my front wheel. QBP has them in stock...
Just built the front with a chrome hazard tonight. I have some decent riding time on the rear wheel. I am very happy with the hazard in 24". Looking forward to the Odyssey 24 tires and the Sunday Model C... eventually I will get a chance to ride one.
Just jumped all morning on the new front rim... ya they are heavier than all of the other 24" rims out there right now... but so what. I am really happy and they are definetly very strong rims... should last awhile for me.
