Actually, you might be surprised about the number of conservatives in so-called liberal states like Oregon and Washington. besideds, has anyone seen a anti war protest in the south yet? I sure haven't heard about it. There doesn't have to be laws, just have the people scared of reprisal from militant groups and why waste time with making laws when community pressure does a much better job?

there are antiwar protests in the south. we have one daily in memphis. no one down here is stupid enough to block the streets because they are afraid they will get run over. not by a millitant group, just by someone who is pissed off that you are in the street. there is no tolerance down here for anything being in the street except for cars. and any more, if you arent driving an suv or a mata you are fair game.

No protesters laying down in intersections here in Louisiana...

...they would be just another ineffective speed bump for local folks around here with lifted 4x4's...

That bill is DOA.

As written a wedding caravan or cafeteria food fight would disrupt transportation and schools and could be prosecuted with a 25 year minimum.

But representatives get to go on record as having opposed the patchouli crowd. Makes for good sound bites in November.
