This wheelset was rebuilt with Salsa Gord-Ohhh's awhile back and was just collecting dust. The JJ has been sporting I9's with Flows for about 3 seasons, now.
Got in my 3rd ride on the purple beastie this afternoon. The plan today was to get a bit more aggro, up the amplitude, and see how she felt in the air. Still getting aquainted with her likes and dislikes. It was such a stark contrast as to how this bike felt in the air compared to the Sultan Proto I rode a few years back. This bike obviously is set up for more aggressive play than what I was on the last time. Slacker head tube angle, Beefier wheels. Better tires. Better brakes. Longer travel fork with through axle. And, a better fitting cockpit. I didn't get too nuts with it, today. I still need to play around with air pressures fore and aft. But, I can tell she's pretty comfy in the air.
more pimp points gained, I dig the "normal" XTR versus that shadow crap.
I say that we should either use a derailleur that works and could be ripped off, or no derailleur at all. Not one that sort of works and can still be ripped off or bent by a stick.
