What's the HA??? (sorry, had to do it)it's damn similar to the sunday...looks like the lower link is higher on the phoenix though
By the angle of the bike stand and the (nonexistant) sunlight and the noth north west wind at 7 knots i would have to EXACTLY e-speculate at 64.37485673 degrees.......aka way too steeeeeeeepWhat's the HA??? (sorry, had to do it)
Yeah, not for me, prefer less than 64.278654, it is way off!By the angle of the bike stand and the (nonexistant) sunlight and the noth north west wind at 7 knots i would have to EXACTLY e-speculate at 64.37485673 degrees.......aka way too steeeeeeeep
Not by much if anything I'm guessing.Hopefully it is cheaper than the DHR!
I see that now...it looks pretty long unless the pivot goes through the seattube, which would be kind of a downer, but not a big deal on a DH ride. At least the tube is nearly vertical, not kicked back like so many others. Not full length.
Yeah, I don't like it either, but it's somewhat fitting..terrible name...
DT wanted the new DHR to have good DH bike characteristics. including low COG. it's not about 'looking' like the previous DHR. it's about having a compact / low rear triangle, and a low-slung shock.Looks real nice and from my point of view a much better application of the DW link than the up and coming DHR.
I know DT wanted the new DHR to look like a DHR (and fair enough) but the loads must be much higher in the DHR guise than the Sunday guise. Of course Im not an engineer and this is pure e-spec but hey - wtf - its Friday 4.18 at work and I've just popped my first Peroni.
.
Seems to be a theme with Chris' bikes. Both the Titus' I owned years ago had super stiff rear ends.Full Build looks sick.
Judging by how stiff the rear end on Pivot's Firebird is, the overall chassis stiffness on this bike should be pretty wild! Looks super responsive and snappy.
Trek was nice enough to include a heavy duty chainstay protectorPet peeve of DH bikes. Why is it still up to us to buy something to protect the swingarm and not the manufacturers duty to?
Yah, it was the first thing I took off when my bike showed up 3 weeks ago.Trek was nice enough to include a heavy duty chainstay protector
