I'm using a friend's old Playstation 2 and it worked fine yesterday for some Guitar Hero action. This morning when I went to turn it on, the screen goes straight to the browser screen.

I don't get a disc read error or anything. I only fiddled with it for a minute or two since I had to leave for work but was wondering if I missed something.

Before I left I saw a screen with a memory card icon, and a disc icon. Would clicking on the disc icon bring me to the actual game?

Nothing is frozen or acting crazy. I just can't get it to boot up without going straight to the browser.

Am I doing anything wrong? I've never owned a playstation 2 so this may be a very dumb question for those of you that own one.

Yes, hitting X while highlighting the disc icon will bring you to the disc menus.

My playstation 2 has showed the browser menu, w/o a disc because it couldn't read it. If this happens, clean the disc area with a can of that duster stuff for electronics. The disc may need cleaning too.
