Any input on whether it is worth it to upgrade to the 4 carat just to get the cranks and 48 spline spindle?

I got a '07 which is the first year they started doing completes. I love the bike. No issues and 21"tt. I did change the brakes, bars (for bigger ones), and front tire(for dirt). For the price it's a great bike. The 08's look even better. I did swap the cranks because I had the Profiles off my Molly as were the brakes. The 3 ring is a 20.8tt and the 4 carrot is a 21". Didn't know if that mattered to you or not.

So, there were no issues with the bike? did you just swap the cranks because you were used to the Profiles, or was there an issue with the premium cranks. All the info has been very helpful

why premium? there are a bunch of great options there these days. best bang for your buck is that integral expo is an amazing parts package primo everything(integral is primo) so proven parts. As for the frame is a matter of looks as all frames are made oversea...same quality. Fit has really stepped up their completes in the past few years. Good parts packages and nicer frames, wtp has improved but still a bit overpriced for what you get

splined cranks are a bit better if you are using no name cranks.

i have ridden the integral belair multiple times and can say that i hate the feel of that bike. And it seems as if everyone on the planet says that integral bikes are awesome, and i am not going to fall into that trend, even if they have "proven parts" which are not so proven to me. just my thoughts though.

so your would rather have generic parts on a bike than primo(not my first choice but they do have some good stuff)??

and you hate the feel of the bike? what would make you not like the feel, a complete bmx bike for the most part is only as good as its parts. The frames basically all have the same geo , material, build quality, etc..staff doesnt even list these details so that shows how little it matters

I am not a integral in anyway an integral proponent I just think you get a great product for the money. Fit had crap completes but were trendy a few years back but every kid who came into the shop wanted one so now they are not so trendy despite the fact that have a much better product then they used to. So are you buying to not be trendy are do you want the best bike you can get?

I dont want this thread to turn into a flame fest, but i just felt the bars rise and back sweep combined with the way the pedals and cranks felt, made it feel like i was on a 40 pound walmart bike, buy that is just how I felt, that does not mean that i am right.

On a side not, i have also been looking at the Kink ROC. anybody heard anything about this bike?

I didnt feel like making a new thread about this simple question, so ya. My question is: if i were to get new cranks for any one of these bikes, would i need to get a new set of bearings, or do can i just use the ones that come with the bike? In the danscomp magazine, it shows every set of cranks with a set of bearings for another 25 dollars, buy i am thinking you only need to buy those if you are buying a new frame or something without bearings already.

thanks for any answers
