Neon/Dayglo is making a comeback. Everything is cyclical, grunge is coming back, along with flannel. I guess the next thing will be the splatter paint jobs...

That said, I'm a HUGE fan of super-loud bikes and parts, and I'm over the white thing, so what's next? The new Oakley Jawbones are super rad though. I'm getting some sooooon. But not soon enough.

some stonewashed looking shorts and flannel jerseys would be pretty funny, actually

road cyclists already get enough **** for the way they appear. i don't understand why it has to be taken over the top. maybe that's the point, but i doubt it.

There was a team back in the 90s that had denim-colored shorts. Carrera I think? So f'ing ugly.

Funny.

No need for white parts, but white hoods, white frames, white saddles and white tires kick ass.
White/black frames, white hoods, white saddle. All else black. Coming soon to my garage and the internet near you...

I like clear Hudz.

Most of the loud glasses I'm seeing are colored as such for a reason (team colors - Liquigas, Columbia) various jersey wearers (Cav, Hush).

Who's wearing the non-meaningful nasty ones?

Jawbones are nice. My gripe is that the best lens only comes with the polished black (+Red polarized FTW)(totally hate polished black...hate, hate, hate). I don't like contrast lenses at all. Also wish the ear stems were a tad longer. I'm ready for the custom option to become available.

We had 4 pair of Jawbones at the shop and sold them all within a week. Also sold our Anti-Freeze Radars.

Sorry don't buy the they are "better" thing.

Just another way to part you from 200 bucks.

If they didn't change the styles so much, you could keep a pair for 10 years and not be out of style! :)

Oh god. I loath white "contact" parts (hoods, saddles, bar tape).

It's probably my thing for beauty through functionality. White is not a functional color on contact parts.

WRT the crazy sunglasses, I've decided that, for the most part, pro cyclists (or whoever dresses them) have little sense of what looks good, but have a pretty good sense of what is loud, and are quite content with the latter.

I don't know how people wear glasses when riding. I sweat all over mine and they become impossible to see through after a half hour. I do have a very sweaty head though. It takes a lot to cool down the supercomputer that is my brain.

being in my first year on the road bike, this is all pretty new to me. my outsider, newbie perspective is telling me that when you're with a bunch of other guys who are also wearing jerseys and spandex, you just need to let ego go. that being the case, let's turn it up a few notches passed being embarrassed all the way to all out ****ing ridiculousness.

I bought a pair of those NOS from some crazy little ski store last year in pink/yellow/green neon, but unfortunately they broke on me :D

Anyone else notice Lance's special Pit Bosses? Damn, yo.

He was also sporting Tangents afterwards. Forgot I had those till I saw him wearing them.

Why such a bulky pair of glasses?
Me?
If so, the Jawbones are actually probably some of the lightest glasses I have ever worn, I was really, really amazed. Feels like there is nothing on my face. They're a bit smaller than I had expected too.

And that all translate to some ugly glasses it that what you are trying to say :-)
Given as how you (the road rider in general, not CBJ in particular) are most likely wearing some *very* garish petroleum-based clothing on an ostentatious bicycle, they fit in pretty well.

Look at high-end running shoes/clothing, or really anything of that nature, it's going to be kind of out there, styling-wise.

No pics tonight, but took the black from some retina burn Jawbones today and put them on my white and purple jawbones. Now I has green and purple and black and white. Hotness. Fear me.
