Well in going from 2 DJ bikes down to 1, I figured I would finish off the Fall Guy with a couple of parts. Profile splined 23t and some new pedals:

I wanted to complete the Fall Guy with the new chainring to polish off the purple theme. I pretty much only run splined drives, so I was waiting for them to make the 23t available in purple to match the rest of the goodies. I also threw on new purple MG-1 pedals to replace the ****ty Twisted PC pedals. Funny thing is the MG-1 pedals are lighter. So now the bike is just about complete as far as cosmetics. The only thing I am not overly fond of is the animal headset color. Their purple is not radiant like Profile’s. I may swap it for a black one or maybe a WTP in purple. Other than that I think I am finally done.

I was previously running a Tree 22t up front and went up to the 23t. With that I was able to leave the chain the same length and get the rear wheel slammed. I didn't think it would make too much of a difference, but now the bike manuals like nothing I have ever experienced. I love the feel of the bike with this gearing and set-up.

Fugg that looks damn nice. where'd you find a 2nd Gen frame? also if you want to shorten and slightly bend your rear brake noodle, it would straighten the brake cable line and get it out of the way. basically be molded around the seat tube. nice build.

Taking me back to the 1993 Motocross scene, reminds me of my yz 250 with black frame and purple graffics and my msr racing gear.

That thing is looking so clean.. Why the chainstay protector though? Brake lever looks as if its a bit high up as well, but maybe that's just my opinion. Dope build nonetheless.

I had the stay protector on there when I had my 22t. Once in a while it would rub the frame - even with perfect chain tension. With the 23t I think I can remove it now. The lever feels comfy. I didn't know what generation this frame was. Either way I love it. It manuals so friggen easily I spent one day just manualing everything at the park.

Good call on the v-brake noodle. I have been meaning to adjust that thing..

With your chain that close, you're going to need to leave it on there....
If the trails are bumpy at all, under power your chain will be slack on the bottom side, and slap. I run 25/10 and my chain pretty tight, and I still get the occasional slap.
Sick ride, BTW. :thumb:
