[Dangerous E]

So I'm headed up to Vail this weekend and my DH bike is outta commission--any suggestions on where to do some XC riding up there? Lookin' for some good climbing, good singletrack--maybe even a few small drops if there is anything like that. We are staying with some friends who I'm pretty sure have a place right at the mountain. Thanks in advance.

Some of the best 'xc' if you call it that.

There's a ton of xc in the area. Get a topo map of the vail area. Do Two Elks, Grand Traverse, and the Matterhorn.

There's also meadow mtn just to the west of vail (minturn turn off).

Matterhorn is *highly* recommended. As is the Grand Traverse.
