Simple as all hell. you just add spacers under the top out spring/bumper. I took the shaft, top out apsing and bumper all to lowes. You can get plastic washers that are almost the exact same diameter and space out from there. You are also going to have to remove or cut the top plastic spacer. I cut mine so it was barely there but kept the spring centered and there wasn't metal on metal... This also eliminated having to cut the spring. The top cap need a little pressure to get to the threads but nothing unsafe and just preloaded the spring a little extra and really stiffened things up. I'll see if I can dig up a diagram too.
