Hi,
This is out to riders from Southern Ontario... We are a bunch of guys from mostly Simcoe County - and we plan to try and get to several US parks this year.
We have been to Whiteface and Diablo, and they are awesome and will definitely be on our list this year along with Plattekill for sure. Hopefully we can get to Killington, Mt Snow and more (Bromont as well - I know its in QC).
Since all DH spots are 7+ hours away for us - we figure the more guys the better. A few of us are even thinking about trying to race some of the ESC or GES (depending on non US race permit requirements).
Anyway - we plan on doing the Whiteface 5K for sure in September, a Plattekill and Diablo multi day trip, and time permitting, some more!
So, if from Southern Ontario, and interested in maybe getting to some awesome US DH parks, let me know. With help from people on this forum this year, I have done a good map of all the places in the east coast we can plan to hit... Let me know and I will sent it.
Oh - and if anyone knows the requirements for non residents to race ESC or GES, pass that info along (I know - I will just call US Cycling for complete info as well).
Thanks
Simon
