Perfectly vertical wheelpath!Do not question specialized's marketing.
I see DLC coating. I assume this is one of Troys or Sams bikes?!
Even Black Box isn't on DLC anymore. Still looks the same but not DLC. My guess is they're going to make the move to production with whatever the new material is since they've always maintained that DLC was too cost prohibitive for anything but factory riders. Otherwise why switch? My thoughts too, will the make a DLC run for Specialized customers?
you can have both with carbon, the amazing stuff that it is.If I'm not wrong, isn't the point of most of these carbon rigs to increase frame durability now that they've learned weight savings is secondary. Not that it's not still uber-important to math wiz's world wide.
are they taking customer's money 1 year in advance like their aluminum bike? Will be ridiculously overpriced. I'll rather wait for the Yt Tues 2.0 Carbon.
Someone had a Lahar up at Duryea. Interesting looking, confusing though.you can have both with carbon, the amazing stuff that it is.
and, yeah - the 1st carbon world champ bike (last i heard still running strong):
sure did. Nico won on a carbon bike in 1997didn't a carbon rig win the worlds before the demo?
really? i must have missed that one.Someone had a Lahar up at Duryea. Interesting looking, confusing though.
STS was a sort-of-carbon, right? Thermoplastic and butted?sure did. Nico won on a carbon bike in 1997
Actually, Nico Voiulloz won the 1997 DH World Champs on a full carbon 6″ Sun Chipie.Yup...Cam Cole won on Lahar in Rotorua (2006)
mmmm, pretty sure not? There was a Zerode there but I don't recall anyone on a LaharSomeone had a Lahar up at Duryea. Interesting looking, confusing though.
nah, i just don't care much for dufus and his drivol.
Sick looking demo though!
Oh Lee, how I miss you so.I like how you wrote that so authoritatively as if you actually remember (or even knew what DH was in '97) and didn't read it from someone elses previous post on this forum a few months ago.. . . But FYI, Chipie was the co-sponsor of the team. They were (are?) a popular French clothing company and I do not recall watching Vouilloz race in a pair of carbon jeans. Though he did have one hell of a snazzy pair of shiny tights.
But of course you meant to say Sunn Radical with a carbon monocoque front end and steal swingarm, right?
Lol dunno. It's probably the ltd. which will go carbon first but if they deliver the rest of the bikes in the next two weeks it's half a year and that's miles better than evil and the biek will probably cost half the price of the demo.are they taking customer's money 1 year in advance like their aluminum bike?
I'm shore he did.But of course you meant to say Sunn Radical with a carbon monocoque front end and steal swingarm, right?
The Demo Carbon will also have a carbon rear end.how many grams will it save compared to the alu frame?
I mean the only difference will be the material of the main frame...
