somehow i got thrown into an internal eval of a customer's clusters & servers (we sold it to them & want to see if they're doing it wrong). it's a high-level eval & can pretty much do no wrong, except to find nothing wrong (says the sales guy). from what i can make out, our goal is to generate business, as $8M wasn't enough

to make matters more vague, this is to be done remotely via some web-x drop in, & not on-site. i've been told i'll be able to see every bit of hw they have - both dev & production - and for the most part how it's configured.

the part carved out to me is the sles (suse linux ent srvr). i'm just about to google "SLES configuration", as this is so vague. from what i can tell, SAP is doing load balancing, so....

next?

apparently, this had the same flight time as howard hughes' wooden plane.

why do sales guys talk like things are sinched up tight?
