SDMBA'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY AND PHOTO CONTEST PARTY
SDMBA Turns 10! That's right, the San Diego Mountain Biking
Association is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year. Join us
for an evening of free Pizza, BEER and fat tire memories on
Wednesday, September 15th at 7pm on the Leucadia Pizzeria patio in
UTC. We promise not to get all sentimental and cry in our beer!
To commemorate the occasion, we are hosting a PHOTO CONTEST and
inviting your submission of mountain biking photos from past and
present. All photos will be displayed at the event and judged by
your peers. Winners will get their photos published on our website
and swag from one of our great sponsors, plus bragging rights!
HERE'S THE RULES:
Send up to 3 photo prints per category in printed format to the
address below by September 13th. Prints may range in size from a
minimum of 4 x 6 to a maximum of 8 x 12. The maximum size is
preferred for easy viewing by the elderly. If you are a digital-only
shutterbug, you may submit a computer print. But your chances of
winning may increase if you get it printed professionally by an
online service (e.g. Ofoto.com) or your local photo shop. It is not
necessary to have the prints framed or mounted in any way but you
should protect them from being damaged in the mail. We'll take
good care of them and return them to you at the party on the 25th or
via mail if you include an SASE with your submission. Include your
name, the category and a caption or title with each photograph.

Grit: Photos that show the toughness of mountain biking
Adrenaline: Action photos
Gravity Sucks: Crash photos
Trail: Photos highlighting the trail itself

Wild Things: Photos of plants, critters and other trailside findings
Oreo: Black and white photos
The Matrix Revisited: Manipulated photos (computer or darkroom
enhanced)
Bygone: Retro photos from the early days of mountain biking
Jambalaya: A stew of photos beyond categorization
