I recently changed out the oil in my shiver world cup, does anyone know if it is an air or nitrogen charged system? It seemed to release pressure when first disassembled.

Any help is appreciated.

No its not, that was just some built up pressure inside overtime. you should periodically burp the air by loosining the top caps.

They are one of the simplest forks ever, nothing tech inside there, just oil and springs. You do as above need to bleed the system by taking out the little screw on the top of each leg every now and again, otherwise you just build up pressure you don't want!

aha well, oil springs and shim stack cartridges

don't strip out the bleed screws. and don't forget to make sure the preload adjuster knob set screw is tight, before every ride!
