So my buddy and I are going to drive south starting xmas day and returning on new year's. We don't have a plan yet other than to be in Portland for new years to hit the A-crop. We'll have a 4x4 truck, dirtbikes, and trailbikes, maybe downhill bikes, too.

Totally eager for and open to suggestions. One thought was to go to Ensenada or San Felipe, but it would be easier to stay in the states. Arizona? So Cal? Just get powerwasted in Reno? What's Norcal like in December?

We're into all kinds of riding, surfing would be cool, so would skiing.

Shoot me your ideas!

I used to drive from the east coast to the southwest a few times a year just to ride.
Fruita, Moab, Hurricane, UT (Gooeseberry Mesa & Hurricane JEMS Trail), Las Vegas (Bootleg Canyon and Blue Diamond) to Sedona and finish in Phoenix.

Any of those towns offer some great mountain biking. Great enough were I always thought it as worth the 7,000 mile round trip from here.
