Would be strange with a Fox rear shock.Whoa, is that Rock Shox Ride camp? They were supposed to be released in July in Colorado, ha.
Ah ya, didn't even notice that. Good catch.Would be strange with a Fox rear shock.
I've been told it's because Fox has a deal with Specialized to be the OEM supplier of shocks. Team can run RockShox but the production bike still has to come with an RC4.Ah ya, didn't even notice that. Good catch.
From what I understand, Fox shocks will be specced on all of them for now due to the yoke.
The yoke has to be specially machined for each different shock eyelet So while an OE deal may be a large part of it, not stocking a million different yokes is also a reason. The team bikes have custom ones.I've been told it's because Fox has a deal with Specialized to be the OEM supplier of shocks. It's hard to tell in that picture, but it looks welded.
Am I the only one who thinks that paint looks awful?
I understand what your saying but surely Speccy / RS would just tool up for a production run ?The yoke has to be specially machined for each different shock eyelet So while an OE deal may be a large part of it, not stocking a million different yokes is also a reason. Why would you do a production run for multiple shocks though? You do a run for your OE, as Lee has pointed out.I understand what your saying but surely Speccy / RS would just tool up for a production run ?
Maybe these are still proto's ???
What I meant was that if Speccy was going to run RS on their initial proddy bikes then those involved would just tool up for it, even at the proto stage - surely. Why would you do a production run for multiple shocks though? You do a run for your OE, as Lee has pointed out.
There's a big difference between tooling up to make a couple protos and tooling up to make a production run. What I meant was that if Speccy was going to run RS on their initial proddy bikes then those involved would just tool up for it, even at the proto stage - surely.
You are correct. There's a big difference between tooling up to make a couple protos and tooling up to make a production run.
When are they going to stop with this proprietory bs
Yeah seriously. The mountain bike industry really needs to stop with it. It's freakin' lame. When are they going to stop with this proprietory bs
As soon as I get the ok, I have a bunch of closeup shots of the bike to let loose on RM.
The shell is actually 83, and is compatible with all current DH cranks. The san article says BB30, 86mm wide! :O
