Is Ruth's kayak pedal powered? If so, how does she like it? I have just started kayaking with a sit on top paddle tandem a friend gave me for free. I don't know much about them yet.

she loves it and there are times when I wish I had one. The drawbacks are that you have to pull up the drive in weeds and shallows and you need the paddle to move backwards. That said, they are faster and your legs will last longer that your arms against currents or wind and chop
