Come on if you can. Stunts should be dry enough by Sunday. I was gonna get out to Country Park, but I'd rather get some more time in on the gigantic stunt-drop-to-hip thingy bryan built the other week. Hope to see y'all there.....!
Not really..... You have to sign a waiver to ride their though, saying you wont sue the man if you break something, because it is on private property. Jody can probably give you more details!
It's on like Donkey Kong then. I'll be there at 10:30ish(probably earlier). I'll try to bring as many Greensboroians as I can. Should I bring some tools? If someone is building stunts or jumps, I have to help, no matter what.
Motomike, You and your Greensboroians have my official invite. I ussually work on Saturdays. There are a couple wet spots I am going to deal with this weekend.
Sorry for my delayed response....got home to find my computer had a \SYSTEM32\ corrupted file. Couldn't get it back no matter what code fixes I used, so I'm relegated to using the computer here at work.
C'mon out, mike. I'm sure you'll like the variety of challenges out there. It's a little "out of the way" but worth the drive 100 percent.
Intrested in headin out as well, also plannin on checkin out Legends at some point in the next month. Not 100% sure if i got plans sunday or not. Mike gimmie a call at the shop if you can Sat will know by then and possible we can link up and follow each othere out there and whoever else is going. 777-1002
crap! my first day back on this week is sunday! i've been wanting to hit that place up again....really fun and from the looks of it, the new stuff is sweet!
i luved the monster jump.....a little harsh at the tall setting w/ my big arse on a HT...i'll bring the big bike this time and test fate
Just a heads up. Watch the weather. They are saying 30%-60% chance of rain. We got over an inch the other day and the ground is saturated now. No rain in Granville County and it will be good Sunday. We get hit, things will be soggy.
Another short round of drizzle came thru around midnight, and the morning dawned with a heavy fog and dew. The ground is damp but, should start drying when the sun burns off the fog.
Most of the trails and the playground should be ridable in a couple hours. The lower areas and the new jump are going to be pretty soft.
I think if hold off till around noon or hit the river first we should have good day of riding.
I hope every one had a good time. I know I did. Congratulations to Haromtbiker for hitting the Mega for the first time, I know he's been looking forward to that for a long time.
Motomike set a new standard for the Mega on his hardtail. Had to be 30' over the ground with a 15'+ drop.
Hey, thanks so much Brian for letting me and Chris(yellow foes) come out and ride your trails. They are definitely top-notch, indeed. i would have driven a lot further to ride these, also. And, thanks sooooo much for that BBQ lunch. Your right, I have never tasted BBQ quite like that. Lookin' forward to comin' back in a while... Michael
Yeah....I can. LIke I said, I'm recovering from a huge computer crash, so I'm gradually getting all systems back up and running. I'll try to have them posted by this evening. Still need to re-install Internet services and photo software......I mean a HUGE crash!!!!!
Sorry for my lateness.....but y'all should know by now that I operate on a delayed-response time-continuium!!
Lessee here......almost back to normal, but good enough to get some pics up I think. I haven't gotten my resizer up and running yet, so I'll tweak these as I go along. I wasn't really on point Sunday---still recovering from a nasty chest cold for the last week, so my photo-flow was kinda weak...just like me.
First up....Darth-Mike. He's getting "exposure" but getting no exposure---ehhh, nevermind.
Nice pics. Sorry we missed it. Craig continues to step up and follow through...Motomike is who I thought he was. Coming from MX myself, I recognized his MX style immediately when we ran into him at country park. It's too cool! I told ya those dudes from g-boro could kill it. Nice job guys!!!
Where the heck have you guys been lately? Haven't caught up with you to ride in forever......we keep hitting the opposite spots each weekend. You avoiding me? neaky:
hey, Greyhound, those are some good lookin' pics, buddy. Hope you're feelin' better and getting back on the bike more. Next time we ride together, I'm gonna bring MY camera and throw YOU all over the internet. good luck with your CPU.
YO....sweet freekin pics Jody....sux I missed that ride. One question...wheres the tower/hip/table pics?? I thought for sure those would get hit....or was it wet? Anyways....aweseome shots.....big props on the mega Craig....it was the $hit wasnt it!!!
It was pretty sweet!!! I did it twice, and got probably 5 feet farther my second try!
As for the tower, there was a 10 foot roll-in to a dirt berm to a dirt tabletop, I did the roll in but had to stop because the dirt was way to soft!
Anyway, it is getting better by the week out there!
Hey Tom
How was the trip to NY
Hound had the only camera. He never made it out to Killer with the other riders. And, was riding more than taking pics.
The front of the table was really wet. The one ride thru the line left a 3" rut on the face. I put in a PVC pipe undergound and cut a ditch to it. It should be better.
Keegan hit the small hip as gap up thru that little space in the trees. It looked so good I'm going to cut the trees out today. Make it a nice gap up onto the other trail to hit the little mound.
yeah it is him, ive ridden with him, anyways, what is his name on the forums, i told him about ridemonkey but i dont think he rememberd to check it out.
