Narlus, These look great! I can't wait to hear them. Which is why I must ask... Can you put them anywhere besides sendspace? I'm getting roughly 50 kb/s download speed and I've had to try downloading the first file a couple of times now because the download keeps stalling.

Thanks....

Edit: never mind - once I DL'ed the first one, it doesn't matter, because I can't listen to them all any faster than I can DL them.

It was a drag to hear that Dead Moon has thrown in the towel after all of these years. Respect your elders and rock out with them whenever opportunity arises, you never know when they'll be gone...

i think the sufjan stevens was an '05 release.

here's my list:
the melvins - (a) senile animal
boris - pink
robyn hitchcock and the minus 5 - ole tarantula
comets on fire - avatar
espers - II
john zorn - filmworks XVIII (the treatment)
mogwai - mr beast
mojave 3 - puzzles like you
sir richard bishop - fingerin' the devil & Vault releases
sonic youth - rather ripped
sun city girls - djinn funnel

and in the past 10 hrs i've just listened to two cds from '06 which should also make the list:

Boris with Michio Kurihara - Rainbow
Seventeen Hippies - 17 Hippies Play Guitar

the 1st is a collaboration w/ noted guitarist from Ghost and White Heaven, Michio Kurihara...amazing player, and another winning effort from Boris...they are an amazing streak now, and can do no wrong apparently.

the 2nd is a Marc Ribot cd, made in Germany...excellent balkanized guitar stuff w/ a full band.

I'm assuming I need to sign up with sendspace to get the files. When I tried it warned me that my yahoo account blocks their emails. I never got the registration completion email. Is it safe to register under my work email? The fact that yahoo blocks them makes me nervous.

i've never had to sign up for Sendspace...seems a bit strange to me. they probably block yahoo/hotmail/gmail accounts from registration.

peers
seeing live music
MIT/BC radio stations
magazines

of these, peers is probably the best way for word of mouth. i've also been an ardent music fan for close to 30 years, and collected a bunch along the way.

I didn't even know Zero 7 put out a new disc. Definitely going to have to check that out.

I was a bit disappointed with the TVOR release, others seem to really like it too though.
