I'm sure it was proper non-stop with no breaks. But if you've ever done a photoshoot you'll know what you see is rarely what you get, i.e. we may not have seen the actual start or finish.
In fact, watching again, the start clearly isn't the real start, he wouldn't have a cameraman so close to him in the actual attempt.
I'm almost positive that a wheelie record had been done before and it was outside at a running track around a football field, which would make it harder with the elements of weather/wind. I'd google it but i'm too lazy like this kid to look up info like that.
