Girl I'm seeing got me a four pack for x-mas (as well as four 18oz Double Bastards). You really just can't go wrong with an 8% porter endorsed by Hunter S. Thompson...can you?

I like that four pack sampler of their high-test beers: Double Dog Double Pale Ale, Kerberos (tripel), Horn Dog (barleywine) and the imperial porter.
All very tasty beers.

Not a big Porter fan. Had a Vanilaa Porter from Breckenridge Brewery this weekend. I liked it until La said it tasted like cough syrup...then I couldn't get that out of my head.

Nah, just contract brewed in MD. Same as FX Matts in Utica, NY brewing Brooklyn beer, only a bit more distance!

I'm a big fan of Anchor Porter but the Black Butte is up there.

I've had warm cheap flat swill at the end of a long ride that was, at the time, the greatest beer on the planet.

Actually, they bought the brewery in Frederick, MD in '06 and moved all their production there in early '08.

Needless to say, it was awesome.

Other favorite porter is Polygamy Porter, but it lacks the booze content to really fvck you up.
