So i have a cannondale X7 and it came with some top levers stock, I will say I am not that impressed with them, when ever I hit the front brake lever it pushes its housing into the rear which cause it to itself to brake.

I did see on a Crux the specialized top mount levers did not have that problem since they use a dual hinge design vs a single hinge I have and most others have as well, so when they push the housing it pushes them to the side as opposed to out.

So should I just get a set of those or are there any others I should look at?

Get rid of em....if you have them, you'll be tempted to brake :)

Ditch them brother. Braking from that bar position is not great. If you are braking hard you want to be on the drops or maybe the hoods. The tops are for commuting. And as you have discovered, they don't work that well. Toss them in the parts box.
