I'm looking at a trip to Iceland this summer and also considering a trip Greenland as well. Gimme the dirt on the dirt in that neck of the woods. Should I even consider packing up the bike and trying to make a riding trip out of it, or should I just pack a crossbow and try not to be taken hostage by hordes of viking women?

Not sure about either, but a few weeks ago I flew over part of northern Greenland. I was surprised by the huge mountains and glaciers. Really beautiful.

I went to Iceland a couple years ago, but it was in November. We stayed in Reykjavik and did a little touring in the general area. It's a really cool place. As far as biking is concerned, I bet it would be a windy ride. And it tended to be pretty flat.

Thanks Peachy-keen. I saw your thread on it when I searched, but it didn't have much detail and it was a bit out of date, so I thought I'd post it up new instead of bringing it back from the dead. Any suggestions on specifics?
